In order to visualize ideas, visual artist Hans Arets likes to re-use materials that are often thrown away after fulfilling their original function. During the manufacturing process, after cutting out shapes from wood or re-used plastic, residual shapes occur that are usually thrown away. But Hans Arets also sees beauty in these leftovers and intermediate forms, which he uses for new work. This way the work process is a constant source of inspiration for him and he tries to use raw materials as optimally as possible.
