8-Weeks Handbuilding + Throwing on the wheel Course

In this 8-weeks course, you will learn how to make ceramics with hand building techniques and throwing on the wheel.

During the first class we will focus on handbuilding techniques and in the second class we will start throwing with clay.

First we will practice centering a ball of clay on the wheel and ones we have mastered that, we will make a cycling. A cylinder is the base for many shapes and we will use it to make a mug. During these classes three persons will be throwing on the wheel while the other three will be handbuilding, halfway the class we will do a shift.

The last class is about glazing your ceramic pieces. Once the pieces are glazed and fired, they are food safe and dishwasher proof and we will arrange a pick up date.

Tuesday evenings from 19.00h till 21.30h

Groups of maximum 7 people.

The workshops are for beginners but also for those who have a bit more experience with clay.

**Would you like to sign up for one of the ceramic courses but there are one or two dates you are not available? That's not a problem! I will arrange some Sunday afternoon make up dates for missed classes. During the time of the course we can discuss when we will plan those dates.
