Communications and Social Media Intern – Broedplaats ContactAmsterdam

We are looking for a communications & social media intern at Broedplaats Contact!

Contact Amsterdam is a creative venue based in the West ofAmsterdam.

Originally a car factory and garage, this 4000m2 space has been transformed into a broedplaats hosting 60 studios for artists &creatives. We also have event spaces such as a theater, meeting rooms, a garden and an in-house restaurant called LFTOVR. At the heart of the space is a makerspace, where various machines and digital fabrication tools are accessible for our creative community and for makers in the Amsterdam area.

We are looking for a dynamic intern to join our small team and help us support our growing activities and upcoming events.

We are looking for someone who could help with the following tasks:

●     Working on the social media calendar

●     Posting on various social media platforms, especiallyInstagram

●     Brainstorm and research ideas for original content

●     Create content, help writing social media captions

●     Help with events production and programming (jazz sessions, club nights, workshops, creative markets, screenings, exhibitions, open ateliers, wine tastings...)

●     Occasionally hosting tours of the space and studio visits

Profile

We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

●     An interest in arts, design, and cultural events

●     An excellent knowledge of social media platforms

●     A creative, hands-on & proactive mindset

●     Good organization skills and the ability to multitask

●     Excellent oral and written communication skills

●     You can work well both independently and within a team

●     You are currently following a relevant WO/HBO education in communications/marketing, or a degree related to arts and culture

●     You are fluent in English. Basic level in Dutch is also a plus.

And it’s a big plus if you have…

●     Experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop

●     Video & photography skills

●     Experience in organizing your own cultural events

●     An internship fee of €300 (based on 5 days a week)

To be eligible for this internship

●     You must live in Amsterdam or be willing to travel to our space in Amsterdam-West.

●     You need to have the right to work in the Netherlands for the duration of the internship (Contact Amsterdam does not offer work visas).
