Donata is a photographer who primarily focuses on capturing people. Bodies and faces, that we all have, yet carry so differently. Her passion lies in photographing dancers, though she also works in portraiture, fashion, and e-commerce.
Her journey started when she began taking digital photos of friends with her parents' first digital camera back in highschool and grew into a full-time job not long after.
Bodies inspire her the most, particularly dancers, because of how far the body can be pushed. She’s fascinated by how unique each person's movements are and how the body van be trained to the limits, and do crazy movements, that normally we don’t even think to do in our daily lives.
The more Donata photographs, the more she notices small details and thinks about how she could improve—whether it’s the lighting, editing, or other elements. But it’s the people she meets during different projects that make each one unique and enjoyable.
Having been at Contact for about a year and a half, she enjoys the energy of the building and the balance between focused, solitary work and the opportunity to be involved with community events and creative happenings in the space.
