DJ & Producer

Mansoure Andji's (artist name, Mansour) main practices are DJing, music production, event hosting, and brand strategy. Growing up, he played djembe with his father, and music has always been a central part of his life. After finishing high school in 2019, he decided to focus on it more seriously, starting with DJing before moving into production during the COVID period. Alongside his music work, he works in sustainability helping students find employment in the field.

In his music, Mansoure is currently focused on bringing his production and DJing closer together, developing them as one coherent practice rather than two separate things. On the event and brand side, he is growing concepts, building brand strategy, and developing collaborations. One of his main projects is Torneo, a football festival for which he handles much of the brand development and partnership work. He also organises club events and hosts a variety of other collaborations.

Mansoure has been at Contact for around two months, though only he has starting coming in consistently. He had not anticipated how active the community is before arriving, but has been really pleasantly surprised by it. He finds the contrast between corporate and creative tenants particularly interesting and values being in a space where you can pursue a variety of activities.

Mansoure is often inspired by exploring a range of different musical styles and genres. He is particularly inspired by DJs who have broad knowledge and can move between different genres, playing both the expected and the unexpected. Discovering new sounds and developing his own from that process is a big part of how he works and creates.

Two projects stand out as especially meaningful. In music, his European tour in 2024 took him to Milan, Rome, Paris, Madrid, and Mallorca within a single month. It was his first time touring internationally, so it was a very exciting time and experience. On the event side, the most recent edition of Torneo was the biggest the festival has seen so far, with lots of collaborations and a new location, all making it particularly memorable.
